Chasers North Beach Project Recap
*Important Note to Reader: We’re proud to showcase the work our team completed at Chasers North Beach before Hurricane Milton. Sadly, due to the storm's impact, the restaurant has since closed. While it’s bittersweet to share these photos, we’re honored to have been part of creating a space that meant so much to the community.
At Painting by Bayshore, we recently had the privilege of revitalizing the interior of Chasers North Beach, a bar and grill known for its lively beach vibe in Clearwater, Florida. Our goal was to enhance the welcoming atmosphere while maintaining the establishment’s charming coastal essence.

Vibrant Color Scheme
We selected a dual-tone palette to brighten the space and reinforce the beach-themed decor. The walls are painted in a soothing Mediterranean Sea blue—a muted shade of cyan that perfectly captures the essence of the ocean. The Sherwin Williams color name is Surfin' (SW 9048). This shade is complemented by crisp white that gives. the space a fresh and airy feel. The color selection not only invigorates the venue but also harmonizes with its beachside location.
Ceiling and Beams
The ceiling presents a bold contrast, painted black to add depth and draw attention to the beige beams running across the restaurant. This distinctive choice enhances the architectural features of the space and creates a stunning visual impact. Above the bar, the detailed ceiling is painted white to highlight this focal area, ensuring it stands out as a centerpiece.
Warm Accents
To add warmth to the vibrant blue and white, we painted the doors and areas around the bar in a cozy beige tone. This color brings a comforting balance to the cooler tones and integrates seamlessly with the overall design theme.

Bathrooms and Functional Elements
In the bathrooms, we refinished the dark wood elements and large doors, opting for a color called Blonde (SW 6128) from Benjamin Moore’s Scuff X line, known for its durability and rich finish. We also applied two coats of shellac primer followed by two topcoats to ensure longevity and a flawless finish.
Project Execution:
Preparation: We began by meticulously preparing the surfaces, removing handles, kick plates, and other hardware to ensure a clean and professional finish.
Priming: All beams and shiplap were primed with two coats of oil primer to guarantee a smooth application and vibrant color display.
Painting: Following the priming, we painted the shiplap in two colors, maintaining the thematic continuity with Surfin' (SW 9048) on the lower sections and Extra White (SW 7006) on the upper sections to enhance spatial dynamics.
